National Serpent Day

February 1, 2023 All day

National Serpent Day is February 1st!

A serpent is a long, legless, carnivorous reptile that moves by slithering its body on the ground. Serpents are members of the family of snakes, and are found in most parts of the world. They are known for their smooth, sleek scales, sharp teeth and fangs, and the ability to swallow prey whole.

Serpents play an important role in many cultures, often serving as symbols of wisdom, knowledge, and creation, but also as representations of evil, danger, and temptation. Some of the most famous serpent species include the cobra, the python, the anaconda, and the viper.

Happy National Serpent Day!
