It also appeared In the 1988 episode of Count Duckula “The Vampire Strikes Back. It appeared in books and facebook groups until its first official celebration in 2011, the Toronto Underground Cinema in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

When did the first organized Star Wars Day occur?

It wasn’t until 2013 that Disney celebrated it officially. (Disney purchased LucasFilm in 2012)
